William Rapley found guilty on an indictment for stealing 6 ewes (valued at 48/-), 1 wether (valued at 8/-) and 4 lambs (valued at 12/-), the property of Thomas Snelling, in the parish of Bury on 20th December 1743.  He was found guilty also of stealing a black mare (valued at £3.3/-), the property of Thomas Stavold, in the parish of Burpham on 17th October 1743.  His execution was respited for a fortnight on 3rd April.
